Thai Tuner: A Unique Application for Comparing Thai Musical Instruments
Thai Tuner is a free Android application developed by the Google Play Developer of Mahidol University. It falls under the category of Utilities & Tools. Thai Tuner is a unique application that allows users to compare the sounds of different Thai musical instruments. This is the first application of its kind in the world, which was developed by the Center of Creative Economy at Mahidol University, based on research on the frequency of Thai musical instruments conducted by King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
The application collects the sound frequencies of various Thai musical instruments such as Pi Phat, Wong Mahori, and male and female vocals, as well as traditional instruments from the 4 regions of Thailand - Central, Northern, Northeastern, and Southern. In total, Thai Tuner features more than 60 different types of instruments.
